'Arrow' season 3 spoilers: Finale episode to reveal new 'dark' villain Damian Dark

"The Arrow" is nearing its finale and it is likely that we will see the exit of Ra's al Ghul (Matt Nable). Would he be killed?

In the last episode, we saw how Olive Queen (Stephen Amell) and John Diggle (David Ramsey) were captured after they tried to save Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman).

But episode 15's ending came to a peculiar close wherein Queen would not end up fighting or getting killed. Rather Ra's al Ghul wanted him to take over his place.

And while everyone is left pondering on what could possibly come next, the word is out that the season 3 finale will see the rise of a new and darker villain who is said to be Damian Dark.

To set things straight, Damian Dark is not Damian Wayne – the son of Batman. If you got to watch that animated film, it will be recalled that Damian had a dark side to his character. Regardless, this is a totally different character so don't get any hopes up of seeing this tied up with any Dark Knight appearance.

But the question now is on whether Damian Dark would be ruthless and be a leader of a new group of villains. Could he be the leader who would also train mercenaries and assassins or be part of one big organization like let us say H.I.V.E?

For comic book junkies there is actually a Damian Dark. However he is known better as Darhk. Darhk is a former gangster who is associated with the criminal ring H.I.V.E. In the comic series, he has been known to have fought against the Teen Titans (Possibly another cross-over angle with the upcoming TV series?)

For now, these are the rumors on what to expect once "The Arrow" season 3 comes to a close. The Arrow will have a new adversary but to what degree and the mystery behind it remains to be seen.
