'Arrow' season 4 spoilers: Sneak peek at Olicity

Oliver and Felicity Facebook/Stephen Amell

In the past week, there was a cascade of spoilers and details for "Arrow" season 4. Apparently, the cast and crew of the DC Comics adaptation don't run out of teasers as lead star Stephen Amell recently shared a photo on his Facebook account, letting fans have a glimpse of the new season.

When season 3 ended, Oliver and Felicity retired from their life of crime-fighting and started a fresh one. Last month, Amell already said that the upcoming season will be set six months after this finale, following a real-time interval. So what did the lovebirds do during this half a year-long sojourn? It looks like the couple did some travelling.

In the photo, presumably a keepsake of the duo's adventure, they beam at the camera backdropped by a picturesque landscape. They are apparently standing on the peak of a mountain as they enjoy every minute of being in each others' arms.

The photo, which was safely slid in a picture frame, looks like it belongs to the wall of either the home Oliver and Felicity share or, as Comicbook suggested, Oliver's new burrow — he might have hung the photo there to help himself remember living the life he never thought he would actually experience.

However, despite the utmost happiness Oliver must be feeling, his true calling will rope him back to Star City come "Arrow" season 4. And as fans already know, the evil Damien Darhk, whose turn to cast his shadow on the city has finally come, has a lot to do with his return.

"We go, we vacation, we land in a spot that is not Starling City," Amell told IGN. "We have established a nice, relatively domesticated life by 'Arrow' standards, but there are problems in the city."

Neal McDonough was tapped to portray the role of the new villain, who was only namedropped in the season 3 finale of the hit series.

"Arrow" season 4 is scheduled to premiere on Oct. 7 with the first episode titled "Green Arrow."
