April 2015 TV premiere dates: 'Daredevil,' 'Game of Thrones,' 'Orphan Black'

April has become a big month for movies, particularly with the runaway success of "Furious 7" earning over $143.6 million domestically during its opening weekend. However, this is also the month for many TV shows to air their premiere episodes, such as the following:

Daredevil, premiering April 10 on Netflix Netflix

"Mad Men" returned on April 5 on AMC. This is the second part of the final season of the show. Rumors left and right hint at the death of Jon Hamm's character, Don Draper, and the eventual fallout of the company.

"Daredevil" will launch on April 10 on Netflix. The show is rated TV-MA, so while it is still set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, this gives the series more freedom in terms of its content. A report by Forbes comments that this has only made the show even better, particularly due to the nature of the source materials.

"Game of Thrones" season 5 will premiere on April 12 on HBO. The fifth season will delve into both the fourth and fifth books of George R. R. Martin's "A Song of Ice and Fire" saga and may begin to spoil the events of the yet unpublished sixth and seventh books.

"The Messengers" will air starting April 17 on The CW network. The show revolves around a group of survivors in a post-apocalyptic world where both angels and demons thrive but are not directly representative of God, heaven or hell.

"Orphan Black" will return for its third season on April 18 on BBC America. This is one of the darker series from the BBC, known particularly for "Sherlock" and "Doctor Who," and revolves around the morality and ethical issues concerning human cloning.

"Happyish" premieres its first season on April 26 on Showtime. Set as a dark satirical comedy/drama series, the show revolves around the depressed character Thom Payne, played by Steve Coogan, and his ongoing pursuit of happiness.
