The Super Smash Bros Amiibo figurines is now compatible with the Nintendo 3DS after the gaming company released an update. Wikipedia

During the latest Nintendo Direct, "Smash Bros." creator Masahiro Sakurai announced that all playable characters in the game will get an amiibo counterpart. Nintendo America followed this up by tweeting that all 51 characters, including newcomers Ryu from "Street Fighter" and Roy from "Fire Emblem," are all covered.

The tweet from Nintendo America states: "In fact, all 51 playable #SmashBros characters will eventually have #amiibo figures!"

Sakurai also dished Nintendo's plans to give the next wave of amiibo toys some changeable poses. The new set, which consists of R.O.B., Duck Hunt, and Game & Watch, will be released in September together with Mii Fighters amiibo — Mii Brawler, Mii Gunner and Mii Swordfighter — and amiibo for Zero Suit Samus, Ganondorf, Dr. Mario, Captain Olimar and Bowser Jr. The Falco amiibo will be released in December.

Unfortunately, there isn't a definite timeframe or a release window when the amiibo figures for Ryu and Roy will be made available. Nintendo guaranteed that they will come out in the future together with other demanded characters such as Mewtwo and Lucas.

Meanwhile, the latest figurines to expect are those of Pit and Wii Fit Trainer, which Nintendo said has entered production recently. There is no way of knowing when they will be up for grabs but the pair of toys is said to come out in limited supply.
