'Agents of SHIELD' season 3 spoilers: Chloe Bennet cuts for Daisy Johnson transformation

In a bid to look more like her character Daisy Johnson, Chloe Bennet is saying goodbye to her long locks on "Agents of S.H.I.E.LD" season 3. The actress recently shared a video via her Instagram account showing herself getting her tresses chopped.

The actress was noticeably a bit nervous in going through her "transformation" as she called it. As per IB Times, this wouldn't be a surprise as the actress seems to have never cut her hair drastically short, or at least as short as what she was getting.

However, her hair won't be as short as that of her comic book character counterpart, who also goes by the name Skye. In her Twitter account, she urged fans — who had all their say, most of which are panicky and protesting, on her new look — to "calm down."

"We're doing a TV variation of the Daisy Johnson cut," Bennet tweeted.

She then promised that she will share a photo of herself donning the new hairdo soon and gave a heads up that "it's not that short."

Bennet told Comicbook during the San Diego Comic-Con, "I want to stay true to the character, but I also want – she is different from who she is in the comics. So I think we're going to do something a little bit edgier."

With the hair in place, it is now being asked if the star will don the costume that Daisy wears in the comics. Bennet is unsure, but she did say that "It would be such a fun thing to kind of get to go to work and dress up like a superhero."

"Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." season 3 will premiere on Sept. 29.
