'Agent Carter' season 2 spoilers: Thompson is as obnoxious as ever in new trailer

"Agent Carter" season 2 will be bringing back the whole cast of the first season.

A new promo for the upcoming season of the spy series teases the return of Thompson, who is no longer an agent but was promoted to director.

Chad Michael Murray will be back as the former decorated soldier in the second season and he is as obnoxious as he was back then, especially now that he has a new and higher-ranking job. In the 30-second fast-moving promo, Thompson gave Peggy a mission that required her to fly to the West.

Although she is there for an assignment, Peggy made sure she reported for duty with sass and style. As sweet and classy as she was in the "Agent Carter" season 2 promo, the agent did not think twice to give some bad guys a beatdown and she definitely did not lose her poise.

Going back to Murray, Screen Crush notes that the actor is the last one to hop on board the new season. Before he was confirmed to return, Angie Martinelli, who plays the role of Peggy's BFF Lyndsy Fonseca, was also slated to return.

While the rest of the cast shoots in California, Martinelli will remain in New York. Her character will appear in a dream sequence Peggy experiences while she is out cold in episode 9 of "Agent Carter" season 2.

But this won't be an ordinary dream sequence. This one will involve singing and dancing, making the episode feel like "Dancing with the Stars" amalgamated with the Marvel comic book spy series.

"Episode 8 ends with a cliffhanger where Peggy and Jarvis (James D'Arcy) get in big trouble and are knocked out," executive producer Michele Fazekas told Entertainment Weekly.

"Episode 9 begins with a dream sequence that starts in black and white — by the way, [Atwell] was made for black and white. She looks like Rita Hayworth. She looks spectacular," he added.

"Agent Carter" season 2 premieres on Jan. 19 on ABC.
