A bigger church day out planned for 2010

What a day it was: on a beautiful sun-soaked Sunday in May 2009 there were 15,000 people drawn together in the most amazing celebration of all that is good. We were all together as one huge family - this was our BigChurchDayOut.

And in 2010 organiser Tim Jupp is ready do it again. Only this time he plans to make it be "bigger, wider, bolder and even better". Also, new for 2010 is an extra day in Sussex and a brand new venue at Stanford Hall (nr Loughborough) in the Midlands.

Each day the lineup includes Hillsong United, Switchfoot, TobyMac, Israel Houghton, Tim Hughes, Brenton Brown, Graham Kendrick, Lou Fellingham, Tom and Olly, LZ7, The Kings Chamber Orchestra, Stuart Pendred and Trent.

"It promises to be an incredible event as people of all ages and church backgrounds gather together again to celebrate the faith that’s bigger than all of us," said a spokesperson for the event.

Last year's inaugural BigChurchDayOut was a sell-out with 15,000 tickets sold - the largest ticketed one-day Christian event in the UK last year.

Organisers expect to draw 40,000 over three days in 2010.

Dates are:
May 29, Stanford Hall, Leicestershire
May 30 & 31, Wiston House, West Sussex
