5 practical ways to help improve your relationship with your spouse

Our relationship with our spouse is the most important relationship in our lives, second only to our relationship with God Himself. However, because of the daily hustle and bustle we often tend to neglect our spouses, and usually focus on the other tasks or responsibilities that we have.

God takes marriages seriously. He instituted marriage, and is always actively involved in the married (and single) lives of those who love Him. Take for example the men of God in the Old Testament, such as Abraham, Jacob, and David, and you'll see that God is actively involved in their relationships with their wives despite their failings.

Let us also consider Ruth and Bathsheba, both of whom God chose to include in the lineage of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. God's hand was with them, and despite the downsides of their respective stories, we can simply see that God was actively moving in their marriages.

Friends, be encouraged to know that God also wants to be actively involved in your married life. He wants to improve not just your relationship with your spouse, but He also wants your marriage to be a shining light that will glorify Him.

Are you excited to see God move in your marriage? Check out the slideshow below for some practical ways to improve your marriage with the help of God.

1) Pray with and for each other: The best thing that you can do for your spouse is to pray for them. Ask the Lord to bless your spouse whatever the circumstances. Did you have any recent misunderstandings or fights? Pray for your spouse and bless them. You'll be amazed at what God can do. Pixabay
