It was an unforgettable Mother's Day for Jill Duggar as she and husband Derick Dillard started off their Sunday morning with a visit to church. But on this particular Sunday, the focus was on baby Israel as the local church congregation witnessed his dedication service.

The proud parents shared a picture of the event on Instagram, showing the family of three at the dedication.

"At Israel's dedication this morning we were challenged to raise him to love Jesus," Jill wrote in the caption which accompanied the shot.

"What a special Mother's Day! 'I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth,' 3 John 1:4 #babydedication #MothersDay," she added,

According to E! News, Derick's mom and other Duggar family member were able to witness the moment that took place at the altar.

"Jill looked great and her and Derick were as close as ever," said a source to the website. "She stayed close to him. Everyone was really happy."

Later, the happy couple took to their family blog to with their own mothers a happy Mother's Day.

In a video message, Jill cradled baby Israel in her arms and acknowledged Michelle Duggar's influence as she raises her own child.

"So grateful to God for you as my mother and you're just a godly example of what a mother should be like and I hope to be like you," Jill said in the recorded message. "You're just a great role model and a model of Christ really to all of us…Love you a lot."

Derick shared a snap of his mother Cathy holding baby Israel. Last year, Cathy was battling Stage 4 Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, but today, the new grandmother is doing much better and able to celebrate her grandson.

"This year my mom is celebrating not only Mother's Day, but also her first Mother's Day as a grandmother," Derick wrote.

"My mom's story of battle and triumph over cancer is nothing short of a miracle, performed by the one true God, our Lord Jesus Christ, through many medical personnel to whom I am eternally grateful."
