WWE SummerSlam 2015 news, rumors: Amell and Stardust to square off at event?

When pay-per-view WWE SummerSlam is mentioned, the immediate thing that comes into mind is Brock Lesnar. Everyone knows that the Beast Incarnate is set to return at the said pay-per-view to try and reclaim his lost title currently held by Seth Rollins.

But that is not the only card on the said event for sure. While other matchups have yet to be announced there is one brewing right now though not really on a competitive niche if you consider the protagonists.

This is of course with reference to growing rumors that Arrow star Stephen Amell will be squaring off with Stardust aka Cody Rhodes at the said pay-per-view.

According to a report by Hollywood Life, Steven is said to be looking to get in the WWE ring. Amell is an avid wrestling fan and was in fact was part of the crowd in last Monday's edition of WWE RAW.

All of this started when Amell relayed via Twitter that he would be on hand to watch Stardust during his match against the gravity-defying Neville last May 27. And from there, the speculations ran wild.

Quick question – does Amell wrestle as himself or as the Arrow (or Green Arrow as many believe he will undergo a big name change next season)?

On screen, we all know the special abilities that the Arrow or Olive Queen has but applying that to real-time sports wrestling seems to be a bit off. Though the entertainment angle falls into play, seeing Stardust and Amell get it on at SummerSlam shouldn't be so bad.

But of course, Amell shot down the rumors (or did he) after which Stardust borrowed a line from Amell used in the Arrow: "I don't want Stephen. There must be someone else, SOMETHING else…"

Was Stardust referring to the Arrow himself? Was Amell taunting and not denying a match at WWE SummerSlam? You be the judge.
