'Terminator 5' movie: New 'Genisys' trailer to relesae in November, may show film's time travel elements

A reboot of the "Terminator" franchise will arrive in theaters on July 2015, with Arnold Schwarzenegger reprising his role as T-800.  But while the screening of the upcoming "Terminator 5" film, entitled "Terminator: Genisys,"  is still months away, it is already making headlines because of its interesting take on a revisit to previous "Terminator" movies by means of "time travel mechanics."

Such concept has been said to have similarities with the time travel elements shown in films such as "X-Men: Days of Future Past" and "Back to the Future Part 3."

Schwarzenegger will be portraying The Terminator, the same cyborg character he had been playing since the first movie shown in 1984. In his interview with MTV, the 67-year-old actor mentioned that the audience can also look forward to a younger T-800 robot because of the time travel elements in the movie.

The official trailer for "Terminator: Genisys" is expected to be unveiled soon. According to TheTerminatorFans.com, the trailer is likely to be included in the movie "Interstellar," which will be shown in November.

Schwarzenegger will be joined by new cast members who will be playing familiar roles, including "Game of Thrones" star Emilia Clarke who plays Sarah Connor in the movie. Jason Clarke, who appeared in "Dawn of the Planet of the Apes," will be portraying the new John Connor, whereas "Die Hard 5" actor Jai Courtney has been set to play a new Kyle Reese.

Other cast members include Matt Smith, Byung Hun Lee, Michael Gladis and Courtney Vance.

Actor J.K. Simmons, who starred in the "Spiderman" trilogy, has also been signed on to the "Terminator 5" film, although details about the character he will be portraying have not been announced.

"Terminator: Genisys" has been scheduled for an official release date on July 1, 2015, after which two more "Terminator" sequels will follow, dated May 19, 2017 and June 29, 2018, as announced by Paramount Pictures.
