In the next episode of "Steven Universe" season 4, Steven discovers a secret about Onion. Titled "Onion Gang," episode 7 will see the return of the small blond boy and a big bombshell.

This is the first installment in the new season that will feature Onion heavily. He appeared in the "Future Boy Zoltron" episode although he did not utter a word.

In "Steven Universe" season 4, episode 7, Onion will be the star of the episode. Here, Steven learns that Onion has secret friends, which might come as a surprise to him.

Onion is known to speak only to his parents. He rarely opens his mouth and when he does, it strikes as mumbling to others as they do not understand what he says.

His parents Yellowtail and Vidalia have no problem communicating with him, and the fact that he only talks to them – he also loves talking to them about Steven – makes it a shock that he has been harbouring secret friends all along.

According to reports, Onion's secret cronies have something to do with him messing with gems. This is not the first time Onion did so. In the past, he has caused tons of troubles for Steven and the gang for meddling with the gems.

Fans on Reddit speculate that "Steven Universe" season 4, episode 7 might reveal Onion as a gang leader. The show has already established that he loves to steal things and it looks like this may be more than just a simple inclination.

A fan suggests that Onion is using gem shards that do the dirty work for him. Another fan points out that the young boy is not scared to be put behind bars so this makes it more likely.

Whether or not this will be the case, fans will find out when "Steven Universe" season 4, episode 7 "Onion Gang" airs Thursday, Sept. 15 at 7 p.m. ET on Disney Channel.
