In the next episode of "Scorpion," the team helps Agent Cabe Gallo (Robert Patrick) deal with his deceased father.

The trailer and sneak peeks into the upcoming installment titled "Promises Kept" just released recently and showed Gallo thinking back to when he was a child. He and his father were in a store when a robber held up the cashier at the counter with a gun to steal all the money from the cash register. The father saw the criminal and immediately took out his gun from his ankle hoist. However, when his dad aimed to shoot, the robber saw him and shot first, instantly killing the man. The young boy froze throughout the entire time and blamed himself ever since for not helping out his dad. "I froze, I was responsible," Gallo said regretfully to Toby Curtis (Eddie Kaye Thomas).

"You were a child. Stop beating up on that little kid," Curtis tells the elderly agent. Apparently, Gallo has been living with this guilt for a long time. He starts to weep in front of Curtis who further adds, "You have taken care of us for a long time. Now, let us take care of you." The whole crew is shown at the dinner table having Thanksgiving dinner. They all appear to be having a good time as they give Gallo comforting words.

In the last episode, Team Scorpion spent the afternoon at a renaissance fair to celebrate Sylvester Dodd's (Ari Stidham) birthday. However, festivities were cut short when robbers tried to steal from the police evidence locker nearby. The team was able to secure the evidence and capture the criminals using tools from the renaissance fair. The people there also helped them considerably.

"Scorpion" season 4 episode 9 will air on Monday, Nov. 20 at 11 p.m. EST on CBS.
