Luv Esther Heads to Scotland, Announces 2007 School Tour

|PIC1|Following Luv Esther’s successful London tour, the talented team is now set to tour Scotland this autumn.

Based on the book of Esther in the Bible, the musical has challenged many people to be an ‘Esther’ in their community and to be the one who 'stands up strong' to save many people. In addition, the musical has so far raised over £35,000 for HIV/AIDs projects in Africa.

”There’s a phrase doing the rounds these days that ‘God wants His church back,” says Ray Goudie, writer and producer of Luv Esther, “For some it sounds harsh, but to me it’s all about giving control back to the bridegroom. It’s not a phrase to be shouted in anger, but a genuine call for the church to come back to Himself, becoming besotted with Jesus. That’s what Luv Esther is all about: falling in love again with a Father who’s calling us to move on with Him.”

The new autumn tour follows the success of their last visit. The team will also tour a Cameo of the show in preparation for their 2007 UK tour.

The aim of Luv Esther’s tour is to enable as many schools in each city to attend special matinee shows, and give young people the opportunity to spend time with the cast, and get arts training.

The recent London performances were held at the Hackney Empire with an audience of 1,200 each night.

"I thought it was absolutely fantastic. This is one of the most creative, imaginative ministries I have seen in a long time. I came a tired man, I'm going back a rejuvenated man excited about the scriptures, excited about the story, excited about the possibilities of Luv Esther," expressed Edwards.

Tanya Wilson, who plays Esther in the musical, shared with Christian Today: “I read the story of Esther when I was a little girl, and I reread it when I got the part. The thing that struck me first was that she was the original ’girl-power’ girl. I really respected her in the decisions she made and how God influenced her in such a powerful way.”

The next shows for Luv Esther will be in Grimsby on 16th September and in Newcastle on 27th October before descending on Scotland.
