Since the much-anticipated HTC One M10 failed to appear at the recently concluded Mobile World Congress, observers continue to speculate on what to expect from the upcoming iteration. The latest rumors suggest that while there will be regular 32GB and 64GB storage options, HTC is planning to add a third version for the flagship.

According to GSM Arena, a leak from noted tipster @LlabTooFer mentioned three internal storage options for the One M10, codenamed HTC Perfume. Reportedly, aside from the 32GB and 64GB internal storage options considered as regular capacities for high-end smartphones, HTC is planning to unveil an entry-level version, with 16GB storage. The tipster added that while there will be three storage options, the selection for buyers will still be limited as the storage choices will depend on the market location.

Rumors of different feature selections for the HTC One M10 are nothing new. Previously, it was said that the upcoming HTC flagship will be offered in two chipset versions. Allegedly, HTC will feature one Snapdragon 820 variant, and another version will carry an as-yet-unnamed MediaTek SoC.

It is also being floated online that HTC will once again set a standard in mobile image capture with the One M10's rumored camera assembly. According to Android Authority, it is HTC itself that is hinting that one of the featured selling points of the new One M10 is its camera. The industry follower quoted HTC chief financial officer Chialin Chang as saying, "We can confidently say that HTC will have a very, very compelling camera experience ... We're making this comment after we've seen what's going on in the market."

Subtly directed as a barb for the recently launched Samsung Galaxy S7 and LG G5, this may mean that the rumored 12MP Sony IMX377 sensor, plus a 5MP UltraPixel selfie shooter, is certainly plausible.

The HTC One M10 is expected to come out soon, possibly by the middle of the year.
