The seventh major installment in the Assassin's Creed franchise, Assassin's Creed Unity, is scheduled to be released on Nov. 11 in North America and Nov. 13 in Australasia and Europe. Available for Microsoft Windows, Xbox One, and Playstation 4, the action-adventure game will take players back to the year 1789 into historical Paris during the French Revolution, where they take on the role of one man off to undermine the revolution.

"As the nation tears itself apart, a young man named Arno will embark on an extraordinary journey to expose the true powers behind the Revolution," says the game's official website. "His pursuit will throw him into the middle of a ruthless struggle for the fate of a nation, and transform him into a true Master Assassin."

Arno is a new breed of Assassin with a new set of weapons, and he can join with three friends online for some cooperative play.

According to lead Game Designer Benjamin Plich in a Twitter interview, Unity is different from other games in the series because it's "the first, full Next-Gen Assassin's Creed, and you can play with your friends cooperatively." The developers consider it a restart, which is why it's called Unity rather than AC55.

Unlike in AC3, Unity's focus is on Brotherhood missions rather than competition between players. It is also centered on the main character.

Pilch explained several features of the game. For instance, skill points are achieved by Brotherhood missions, finding collectible items, and completing the missions in the single-player campaign mode, while achievements are primarily for the single-player mode.

When asked how he feels about the game he said, "I feel confident about AC Unity and can't wait for players to experience it!"
