Fans are eagerly anticipating the upcoming tactical shooter game "Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Wildlands" from Ubisoft. This will be the first attempt of the publisher to offer the game franchise in an open-world environment and they are now taking pre-orders.

Amazon is already taking pre-orders for the upcoming "Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Wildlands" for US$59.96 and is listed to be released by Dec. 30, 2016. The date may have been placed there just for information purposes, but it is still possible for the game to arrive after Christmas. Euroinvestor published Ubisoft's financial report stating that it will release the game within the 2016-2017 financial year.

However, no other information is available regarding an exact launch date.

On the game's official forum, a fan asked if there will be an offline single player mode. UbiKeeba, one of the community managers on the forum, replied, "You will have the ability to play offline with 3 ai, or online co-op with up to 3 friends. The world will be completely open and you will be able to explore Bolivia as you see fit."

Hopefully, this is not a replay of what happened previously with "Rainbow Six Siege: Terrorist Hunt." Fans were informed early in the development stage that there will be an offline option but when it was released, it was not available. An Internet connection is required in order for a player to play the game.

No alpha nor beta test is available at the moment, as UbiKeeba answered another question on the forum.

The official description of the game goes: "Bolivia has become the largest cocaine producer in the world. The vicious Santa Blanca drug cartel has turned the country into a narco-state, leading to fear, injustice, and violence. The Ghosts, a legendary U.S. Elite Special Operations team, is sent behind enemy lines to wreak havoc and break alliances between the cartel and the corrupted government."

The recommended PC setting for Ubisoft's latest game, "Tom Clancy's The Division," may also be the same setup needed for their upcoming "Wildlands." These include a 64-bit Windows 7,8.1 or 10; an Intel Core i7-3770 or AMD FX-8350; 8GB of RAM; NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 or AMD Radeon R9 290, or better; DirectX 11 ; 40 GB HDD space; and an internet connection.

"Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Wildlands" will be released for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC.
