Nintendo has a big announcement regarding "Super Smash Bros. 4" on Dec. 15. The company is keeping it a big secret for now but fans believe that it has something to do with the future DLC plans of the studio for the beloved brawler game.

Ever since Nintendo confirmed the coming of "Final Fantasy 7" protagonist Cloud Strife to the fan-favorite title, fans have been on the edge of their seats waiting for the company to spill the beans on when they will be able to fight as the Broadsword-wielding mercenary.

And it looks like fans won't have to wait much longer. It is heavily expected that in the special "Super Smash Bros. 4" livestream event on Dec. 15, Cloud Strife will either be officially added to the game via DLC release or Nintendo will make the announcement as to when that actually happens.

It is also expected that there will be new stages to be added to the game in lieu of Cloud Strife's arrival. In true Nintendo fashion, these new locations will likely be a nod to the new character's original realm.

What is definite is that gamers invested in the brawler's DLC collections will be the happiest. Nintendo will apparently use the event as the platform to reveal which characters from various universes will also be added in the game as requested by fans through the "Fighters Ballot."

Back in April, Nintendo launched the event and urged fans to vote for the next character to be integrated in "Super Smash Bros. 4." The event has just wrapped up so fans can expect Nintendo to show the tally in the upcoming Dec. 15 event.

What makes the upcoming "Super Smash Bros. 4" livestream event is that it will be concluding the series of special presentations dedicated to the game. Through these events, Nintendo effectively interacted and reached fans by introducing through them new characters and stages.

That being said, the Dec. 15 event should be massive and generous. Catch it via Nintendo Direct at 2 p.m. PT.
