Nintendo NX rumors: after giving E3 a miss, will it be playable this fall?

While a good load of the Nintendo NX rumors point to a late 2017 launch, fans won't have to wait that long to see the highly anticipated console in action.

Nintendo NX is now expected to be featured at the upcoming EGX 2016 after one of the survey questions pertaining to the event hinted at the platform being playable there.

First spotted by Wffctech, the question is about which console fans look forward to play the most. All the choices given were already out in the market save for Nintendo NX.

With this leak, there is now a reason to believe that the Nintendo NX may still be seen in the flesh this year. For those who aren't in the know, there were rumors that the production of the gaming device was delayed to early 2017.

This is allegedly because Nintendo will add Virtual Reality support to the Nintendo NX. This means that it won't be showcased at the E3 although fans hope a little update on the development will be shared there.

Since Nintendo hasn't spoken up about the rumored delay, the current March 2017 launch set for the Nintendo NX might still stand.

Should the console be absent during E3, its competition will take the spotlight. Microsoft and Sony are expected to lift the covers off the purported Xbox One Slim and the PS4 Neo at the event.

Details about these upgrades emerged a few weeks back while the Nintendo NX has been in the news for quite a while. Whether or not this delay will play to their advantage, only time will tell.

Interestingly, despite the Nintendo NX's rumored absence at E3, "The Legend of Zelda," which is coming to Wii U and the upcoming Nintendo console March next year, is believed to make an appearance.

A "The Legend of Zelda" artwork showing Link climbing a cliff was recently shared by Nintendo after it was leaked on Amazon.
