New production teasers for the highly anticipated season of "Longmire" are being shared by the cast as the show's fifth season slowly takes shape.

Katee Sackhoff, who portrays the role of sheriff's deputy Vic Moretti, posted a photo of herself with lead star Robert Taylor on Twitter. This marks the reunion between the deputy and Taylor's character, Absaroka County sheriff Walt Longmire. This could mean that the characters will work on another case together in the upcoming season.

Meanwhile, actor Graham Greene also revealed through Twitter that he is gearing up to reprise his role as former tribal police chief Malachi Strand.

Aside from the cast, TV director T.J. Scott also updated "Longmire" fans on the status of season 5 production. He revealed on social media that he will direct two episodes this season.

According to the New Mexico Film Office, as reported by Albuquerque Journal, principal photography for "Longmire" season 5 will take place from the end of March and filming will be done until the last week of June in various New Mexico cities such as Santa Fe, Las Vegas, Los Alamos (Valles Caldera), Española, Glorieta and Pecos.

The casting website AuditionsFree revealed that the upcoming season of the Western-inspired crime drama would require a lot of extras to appear as the crowd during a baseball game scene in the series.

"The show needs both male and female extras for a scene which is filming in Espanola New Mexico on Monday March 28th 2016," the website revealed.

The previous season of "Longmire" was released on Netflix after its former network A&E decided to cancel the show after season 3. But the overwhelming demand of fans for the show to continue for season 4 compelled Warner Horizon Television to look for other venues for the series.

"Longmire" season 5 is expected to air in the latter part of the year.
