Former satanist offers churches 'supernatural bootcamps' to bring about deliverance

John Ramirez and Shane Wall

A former Satanist who converted to Christianity has teamed up with a popular evangelist to offer "supernatural bootcamps" to help Christians take up arms against the devil.

John Ramirez, who says his aim is to help Christians expose and combat the devil, has joined forces with pastor Shane Wall, bestselling author of The Supernatural Guide to Understanding Angels, to offer one-day teaching and deliverance workshops.

According to a press release issued about the bootcamps, the two men "are angry at the devil and proving it by training Christians how to effectively take an aggressive stance to defeat him and his kingdom."

The first Supernatural Bootcamp will be in Atlanta in October.

Wall said: "Supernatural training is much needed, globally. John and I receive hundreds of calls, emails, posts and the like from people who are desperately seeking understanding of the supernatural."

Participants will be taught about the "spiritual gifts" from the Holy Spirit so they can minister in the areas of "deliverance", a term often used to describe exorcisms.

The bootcamps will also include ministry in "spiritual gifting". Wall and Ramirez will also lead intercessory prayer for the mayor of each hosting city and the governor of their state.

Wall said: "Regardless of title, I believe everyone is called to minister with God's power, and I'm grateful that He is sending John and me to unlock the ministry that's inside thousands of people."

He told Christian Today: "In a world where Christians' first response to circumstances is fear of evil rather than belief in God, John and I have been commissioned by God to conduct these Supernatural Boot Camps to bring a firm understanding of the truth of what really happens in the supernatural realm."

He described how during his recent Understanding the Supernatural Conference in July, an attendee said: "Dr. Wall, for years we have all been been told what to do, but you teach us how to do it."

Ramirez said: "Shane and I have to go into the highways and byways to teach people that they have power through Jesus Christ. I can't understand why Christians today live and act defeated when they have so much awesome power through the cross and blood of Jesus Christ."

A spokesman said: "These men consider themselves representatives of God's kingdom on earth, and they're traveling all over to meet people who they report are hungry for understanding the supernatural."
