Lucious (Terrence Howard) could be heading back to jail soon, thanks to a determined FBI agent in the second half of "Empire" season 2.

According to TV Line, a new character has been added to the series to make Lucious' life more difficult, aside from Camilla (Naomi Campbell) and Hakeem (Bryshere Y. Gray), who have joined forces to oust him from his position as the CEO of Empire Entertainment. In season 2B, it is expected that the pair will continue in the quest to rob Lucious of everything he holds dear. Hakeem is now sitting in his father's chair in the company and completely under Camilla's control. With the arrival of a new foe, Lucious will find that the world has become a smaller place. He cannot even go out without being watched.

FOX has reportedly tapped Morocco Omari to play the role of an "FBI hotshot" who has developed a perverse fascination with Howard's character. Tariq Cousins rose to an important position in the Bureau after a celebrated career with the Philadelphia police. He now heads an entire department, where his fair but brutal judgment prevails. The agent is described as "extremely bright and supremely confident" and is as transparent as they come when making his intentions known. In conducting investigations, Tariq keeps his cards close, until he moves in for the kill. Criminals find him a little rough around the edges, but extremely just.

If someone like Tariq goes after Lucious, viewers can expect that there will be a lot of action involved in the upcoming episodes. Omari's is a recurring character, which means he will be around for a while, stalking Lucious and waiting for the chance to nab him. If Lucious is not careful, he may end up being thrown back into jail. Meanwhile, FOX recently released a new promo poster for season 2B. It features Lucious and Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) with their three children, Andre (Trai Byers), Jamal (Jussie Smollett), and Hakeem.

Melty reports that Cookie's position in the poster indicates that she will be taking over as the head of the family. She is placed in front, while her husband is slightly behind her. With Lucious still depressed with the turn of events, Cookie will most likely be the backbone of the Lyons in their bid to take back their legacy.

"Empire" season 2 will return on Wednesday, March 30, at 9 p.m. EST on FOX.
