A lot of spoilers about the fifth season of "American Horror Story" have been said, but actress Sarah Paulson was quick to dismiss some of them.

Paulson, who was part of the cast in several seasons of FX's highly popular horror anthology, talked about "American Horror Story: Hotel" in her recent interview with The Wrap's "Drinking With the Stars."

The actress cleared what series co-creator Ryan Murphy meant when he said that she will return as a series regular to be "the baddest bad girl of them all."

According to Paulson, "I've never played any villain on the show, so perhaps there's going to be an element on bad, bad girl."

There are also speculations that Paulson will portray the role of Janis Joplin when the series returns in October, but the actress denied such rumors.

"Here's the only thing I can give you ... I am not playing Janis Joplin," Paulson stated during the interview. "I would love that, that would be amazing, but no, I am not doing that."

Screen Crush also refuted the validity of the leaked cast list of "American Horror Story: Hotel," which claimed that Donald Sutherland will appear as Father Abner Gates in the series. The faux list also mentioned that Steven Weber will be a hotel inspector named Ray Ottoman; Alexander Skarsgard will be Joshua Evergreen, the husband of Lily Rabe's character Annabelle; Tammy Blanchard will portray the role of the strict hotel head maid Theresa Faulkner; and Michelle Pfeiffer will join the anthology as Martina McBride, the former hotel owner. But the list turned out to be false, which means that the mentioned characters will not be featured in the fifth season of "American Horror Story."

The real members of the star-studded cast of "American Horror Story: Hotel" include veteran "AHS" stars Evan Peters, Finn Wittrock, Cheyenne Jackson, Angela Bassett, Denis O'Hare, Cloe Sevigny, Frances Conroy, Kathy Bates, Grace Gummer, Matt Bomer, Michael Chiklis, Wes Bentley, and Christine Estabrook.
