Xbox Live Games With Gold For March 2016 Xbox

Members of Microsoft's Xbox Live Gold program are in for a treat this March. Those who play on the Xbox 360 are entitled to two free games, and there are also two Xbox One titles up for grabs.

The first title in the Xbox Live Gold free games for March is "Supreme Commander 2." Originally priced at $29.99, this real-time strategy game lets players take command of armies as they try to change the balance of power in the galaxy. This will be available for the Xbox 360 beginning Tuesday, March 1, until Tuesday, March 15.

The second free game for the Xbox 360 is "Borderlands," which has a retail price of $19.99. This first-person shooter combat game takes gamers into Pandora, a planet where a fabled alien technology is hidden. They must fight their way to find it using an abundant list of weapons. This game will be available from March 16 to 31.

While the above two titles are for the Xbox 360 console, members who use the Xbox One can get their hands on those, too, through Backward Compatibility, plus they can get two more.

The third title on the list will be a delight for sleuths. "Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishment" for the Xbox One lets gamers take on the role of the famous detective and solve six different cases. Normally priced at $29.99, it will be free for the whole month of March for Xbox Live Gold members.

The last one, "Lords of the Fallen," will be available for download from Wednesday, March 16, to Friday, April 15. This role-playing game is set in a world where humans are fighting against the Demonic Rhogar Legion. The gamer takes on the role of humankind's last defender. Originally priced at $39.99, it is now free for Xbox One owners who are members of the Xbox Live Gold program.

Xbox Live Gold members can download the games for free.
