WWE SummerSlam 2015 rumors: Seth Rollins likely to continue as champion

As we head to World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) SummerSlam, there is still no confirmation if U.S. champion John Cena will be good to go after suffering a nose injury at the hands of reigning WWE Heavyweight champion Seth Rollins.

Cena has been absent from WWE shows despite the fact that their card remains up at WWE.com.

Assuming that Cena does show up at SummerSlam, the next question in people's minds is on whether or not Rollins will continue his reign as WWE champion. There is belief that with both belts on the line, the match will likely see both champions keeping their titles.

That would, of course, be more beneficial to Rollins whose belt is more important than the U.S. belt. Despite poor ratings with Rollins at the front, the WWE continues to stand pat on their decision to have Rollins as their champion.

Both the WWE Heavyweight and United States titles will be on the line on Aug. 23 when WWE SummerSlam takes place at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. Cena could win the titles via clean match; but that seems close to impossible, knowing how Rollins manages to escape as seen in his previous title defenses.

But if not Cena, remember that there is a lurking outside force named Sheamus who could cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase after failing to do so at WWE RAW last Monday night.

Aside from that, Rollins may likely stay champion and there is belief that he could do so until Wrestlemania 32. If that happens, we could see him defending the title in a Triple Threat Match against former allies Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose.

Although far off, that could be something to watch and betting odds over at Paddypower.com even has it up right now. You can check out the odds here.

Could this be an indication of things to come?
