Vince McMahon would still want to see The Shield take on the new pro wrestling stable The Club in one of the upcoming WWE matches.
Rumors suggest that the stable formed by top WWE superstars Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, and Roman Reigns is being groomed to start a feud with the trio formed by AJ Styles, Karl Anderson, and Luke Gallows.
But SportsKeeda pointed out that before The Shield-The Club showdown could happen, WWE must first allow The Club to be involved in a solid match before they could build up a stronger storyline with the powerhouse trio.
It will also take a while before McMahon's desire to put the two stables in one match can be met since Styles is currently involved in a plot where he is pitted against John Cena to vie for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
While The Shield decided to disband in 2014, they briefly reunited in June when Ambrose called for his former team mates for his "Ambrose Asylum" segment in Raw. But there is no official announcement yet if WWE is already plotting the group's next fight.
But Rollins's current suspension for a WWE wellness violation could hurt any plans to bring back all the members of The Shield at this point. This means that for 30 days, The Shield will lack one member if they are planning to revive the group for another fight.
However, Forbes pointed out that bringing back The Shield may not be a good idea. According to the report, the stable is missing a clearly defined leader. Since the group formed in 2012, all three members managed to get championship belts as individuals. The report suggested that at least one of them must emerge as the leader to avoid making the viewers of the pro wrestling franchise get tired of seeing them as equals.
