WWE rumors: Heavyweight title clash for Survivor Series in peril?

World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) heavyweight champion Seth Rollins and Kane locked horn again, a rematch of the WWE Hell in a Cell pay-per-view (PPV).

Both protagonists were in a No Holds Barred match which was part of the WWE live event held in Dublin, Ireland last Nov. 4, but it seems that the match proved costly to Rollins.

As can be seen in the video tweeted by @DroidStar_com, Rollins was trying to counter an attacking Kane with a sunset powerbomb but ended up botching the move and thus leading to an awkward landing on his feet near the corner of the ring.

Rollins expectedly won over Kane, but the injury is obviously a cause for concern.

Rollins' knee bent medially and had to be helped out to the back. There is no official word yet on how serious the Architect's injury is, but if it does involve his knee, it could end up being an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) or meniscus tear.

Depending on the severity of the injury, Rollins could end up resting or rehabilitating the affected body part if the damage is not serious. On the other hand, if there is indeed a serious tear, such could require surgery and keep Rollins out of WWE action for quite some time.

If Rollins is indeed seriously injured, such could jeopardize the scheduled main event at WWE Survivor Series. Rollins is set to defend his title against Roman Reigns in Atlanta on Nov. 22.

As most WWE fans await the prognosis on Rollins, it remains to be seen if Rollins will be around for WWE shows leading to WWE Survivor Series. With a little over two weeks before the PPV takes place, the given time allowance is certainly not enough to ensure that Rollins will be healthy come Survivor Series.

It remains to be seen what WWE's contingency plan is in case Rollins is unable to compete hereafter. Will the WWE do some changes for the WWE heavyweight scenario in case Rollins is forced out of action?
