WWE return rumors: small chance of CM Punk return; UFC fight around the corner

There have been a lot of WWE return rumors, but the latest is that on CM Punk, who is expected to be back in the WWE ring after leaving back in 2014.

CM Punk did not part ways with WWE on good terms. He went so far as to say that he will "never ever" return on WWE. Following his exit, he went on to do different projects.

CM Punk wrote several comic books for Marvel Comics, but now he is in the UFC, where he is set to fight Mickey Gall at the UFC 203, making his WWE return far more impossible.

However, according to The Inquisitr, CM Punk's UFC career might be short-lived following the win of WWE superstar Brock Lesnar in his match against Mark Hunt last weekend.

According to the site, Lesnar's impressive UFC comeback may give birth to more appearances of The Beast Incarnate in the octagon.

That being said, prior to UFC 203, Lesnar might be booked for another match there, and that could ultimately overshadow Punk, who remains a betting underdog, as per The Inquisitr.

As for a WWE return, CM Punk seems to have closed his doors in returning in the ring. Bleacher Report even thinks that Seth Rollins is already filling his role.

The site explains that when Rollins started to talk about Roman Reigns in the last WWE Monday Night Raw last June (coincidentally the fifth anniversary of CM Punk's infamous "pipebomb" promo), the publication believes that he exuded a CM Punk vibe.

With all that taken into account, it looks like Punk won't be back in WWE anytime soon. It also appears that he is dedicated to developing his UFC career.

Meanwhile, in other WWE return news, Randy Orton's big comeback was announced with a match against Lesnar at WWE SummerSlam.
