WWE Hell in a Cell 2015 preview: U.S. title open challenge set

With just a couple of days remaining before World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) Hell in a Cell, anticipation has been growing on who will be facing John Cena for the U.S. championship. As it turns out, the opponent will be known only at the WWE pay-per-view (PPV) this coming Oct. 25.

Despite earlier rumors that it could probably be Big E or even Dolph Ziggler, it seems that the WWE has opted to keep the fans in the balance.

And so the guessing game begins. Everyone has his own guess on who could step up to the challenge, and it may not necessarily be any of the WWE stars whom Cena has been facing lately.

Bleacher Report Pro Wrestling Analyst Dan Pecoraro breaks down his possible choices in this video.

As far as Pecoraro is concerned, possible wrestlers who could step up to the challenge include Cesaro, Tyler Breeze, and Samoa Joe.

Cesaro looms as a curious pick, considering he will already be participating in that kick-off six-man tag match along with Ziggler and Neville. Cesaro has shown promise, but one cannot help but think that there is still something missing in his arsenal.

Tyler Breeze and Samoa Joe are surprise picks, considering the two haven't been seen that much in the regular WWE shows. But then again, WWE Hell in a Cell could be the best time as ever for them to make their jump right?

Going back to Cesaro, if he does end up answering the challenge, then there is no reason why Ziggler or Big E would do so as well. Of course, all that could depend on their respective matches first.

Also, don't forget the likes of Sheamus or even Rusev as well. Sheamus doesn't have to use his Money in the Bank to try and pry the title away from Cena. Rusev, on the other hand, has been known to have his differences with Cena; so WWE Hell in a Cell could be a fitting retribution of sorts.

How about the ones who don't have a match yet (as of this writing)? There is Dean Ambrose who could finally get the break and be a champion. How about Braun Strowman as well?

There are a lot of names to consider, most of them already booked for the night and some are not. Any wild guesses on your end?

One thing's for sure, there will be a new U.S. champion before the night ends, with Cena expected to finally go on that much talked about personal time off.
