WWE 2K16 rumors: character roster rumors not true

WWE 2K16 2K Sports

WWE 2K16 is still a long way off and while many gamers may have been pumped up by a now controversial tweet, 2K community manager Marcus Stephenson claims that there was no tweet made whatsoever and all of the flak regarding the biggest roster ever is just a plain rumor.

Stephenson further goes by saying that the company has yet to confirm anything about WWE 2K16.

For the record, Stephenson must be made aware if such a tweet or any form of social media post is made.

Stephenson is in charge of the official WWEGames Twitter account. He went as far as to search for the said tweet and eventually came up with nothing that says that WWE 2K16 will be getting a big roster lineup. Thus, the best answer is that the said tweet (which was also posted on Facebook) was fake and photoshopped.

At the moment, the only things confirmed for WWE 2K16 is that Rosa Mendes and Sasha Banks are on the WWE 2K16 lineup, complete with their respective moves.

There is also word that another wrestler, Zack Ryder, has undergone scanning and will most likely be another wrestler officially included in the WWE 2K16 roster.

Aside from that, the only thing known right now is that the game will be out by October. Fans and gamers have only rumors to rely on for now since information on the game's features and developments are limited. Most of them can be found at the WWE 2K16 official website.

It will be recalled that developers tried to get gamers involved to come up with a better WWE game experience.

With WWE 2K15 an apparent bust/ disappointment, it remains to be seen if the development team was able to improve on the number of matches, more female wrestler creations and better handling of the game's Season Pass feature.
