Wrestlemania 32 rumors: Shawn Michaels as guest referee in Triple H vs. Roman Reigns match?

Shawn Michaels has always been known as the "Heartbreak Kid" but this time, it could be the other way around.

This is with the understanding that he ends up being the savior for the World Wresting Entertainment (WWE), with certain stars passing up offers to appear at the upcoming WWE pay-per-view (PPV).

The last star prior to the "Showstopper" was Batista. The latter was reportedly offered to act as a guest referee for a certain match, although it seems to point at the planned tiff involving Triple H and Roman Reigns.

Even though it wasn't clearly mentioned, it seems that Hollywood commitments may be the reason as well. This was the same reason seen as to why "The Rock" (Dwayne Johnson) was unable to commit as well.

For Shawn Michaels, appearing at WrestleMania 32 makes perfect sense. Aside from the fact that the PPV will be held at his own turf, he does have a connection with the WWE COO Triple H. Michaels has also served as a guest referee before when Triple H took on The Undertaker at WrestleMania 28 in 2012.

The latest rumors involving the WWE great follow a previous plan to see him wrestle again at the recently concluded Royal Rumble 2016. Michaels made it clear that he is not planning to don his tights again anytime soon, likely the case for WrestleMania 32 as well.

It remains to be seen what Michaels would decide but thus far, it is looking good. Either way, a WrestleMania just wouldn't be complete without the former WWE champion who has had his share of the limelight from past ones.

With the storylines continuously trying to make Reigns look on the losing end, having him as a guest referee with Vince McMahon on the corner of Triple H and possibly The Rock on the other should be a blockbuster match that will feature multiple WWE stars.
