Wrestlemania 32 PPV news: Batista contacted for possible Wrestlemania 32 appearance?

The World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) is running short on talent and time to make sure that Wrestlemania 32 becomes successful and the latest is that a familiar face was being offered a possible stint this April.

Dave Batista, a former WWE champion but is now active in the film industry, was reportedly backstage last weekend at the Royal Rumble.

ProWrestlingSheet.com bares that Batista and WWE chairman Vince McMahon had a meeting wherein "The Animal" was being offered a possible spot (non-wrestling capacity) to appear at the said WWE PPV.

Batista reportedly passed on it but seeing him back in the fray is not entirely closed for now.

The reason behind the "pass" is unclear, although it could be because Batista would be busy with his filming schedule. If not that, Batista could be wary of such, given that he has technically become a forgotten man since he last appeared in the WWE back in 2014.

While nothing has been set on what Batista may be doing, Wrestlingrumors.net suggests that it could be a one-on-one with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. It would be more on talk than action, with the two stars likely comparing notes on the success each has had in Hollywood.

Right now, that possible stint is still on the table, so it should not be surprising if rumors about a possible Batista return even for just one night continue.

But for some, seeing Batista could be better if he is seen in action. Even though there is the question on his conditioning, Batista does have his share of followers.

His acceptance by the WWE Universe will, of course, fall in the sensitive hands of the creative team and hopefully, it would be a good one.

Batista joins a list of stars that include Bill Goldberg and even Hulk Hogan as rumored possibilities the WWE could bring back to the fray.

One thing they all have in common is that they don't exactly have a smooth relationship with the WWE, which is why many see it unlikely to happen.
