With the critical disappointments of "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" and "Suicide Squad," there is a kind of nervous anticipation for the next DC Extended Universe (DCEU) film, "Wonder Woman." While both Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad both performed well in the box office, they had failed to win over the critics. Thankfully, though, it seems that Wonder Woman would be the redeeming film of the DCEU as several members of the press were given the chance to see the film before its release this coming June.

The first reactions at the new Wonder Woman film were mostly positive and while the movie will not be out until the end of this month, critics took to social media to extend their praises for the film. According to the critics, "Wonder Woman" is surprisingly good and even actress Gal Gadot was praised for her interpretation of the iconic superhero.

One critic, Germaine Lussier, went as far as saying that "Wonder Woman" is the DC film he has been waiting for. Other critics called the film empowering and the chemistry of Gadot and Chris Pine magnetizing. Following the critics' reaction, people can even expect a bit of comedy from the new "Wonder Woman" film.

Warner Bros. already has high hopes for the upcoming film and according to Vanity Fair, the company even spent more money advertising "Wonder Woman" than they did with Suicide Squad. Warner Bros. has been building hype for their newest film and surely the outpouring support of the critics would only add to such. The film is already projected to make $65 million on its opening weekend, the same figure that other superhero films like "Thor" and "Captain America" made on their respective opening weekends. And if the film is as good as what the critics say, "Wonder Woman" might just surpass its initial projection.

The film will be out this coming June and in the meantime, check out some of the film's favorable reviews.
