New rumors making their way online provide more insight into the upcoming add-on for "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" enticing fans with the potential of the tipped single-player story pack.

The aforementioned new content is said to be a standalone offering, meaning those who do not own the main game can still score the new content as it will somehow be linked to but not contained within "Uncharted 4's" narrative. But arguably the most notable takeaway from the latest reports is the claimed timeline in terms of the DLC pack's release.

According to a report by Jaffameister, the DLC will be formally launched during the PlayStation Experience event taking place next month, specifically on Dec. 3 and 4. Originally, the plan was to focus on "Uncharted 4: Survival," but Sony scrapped that and did some reshuffling in their schedule resulting in the standalone DLC coming out of their gates first. Following its press launch, the said add-on will finally hit the market in the first quarter of 2017.

Narrative-wise, the DLC will follow the adventures of Samuel who is the brother of the "Uncharted" series lead, Nathan Drake. Along for the ride is Sully, who is a longtime character in the franchise. Since the new content is separate from the rest of the games, Nathan is said to be only appearing at the start of the story to give out the mission to Samuel. Nathan's daughter, on the other hand, will not be appearing in it.

Meanwhile, for those who are looking to score a PlayStation 4 console deal that includes "Uncharted 4," a new offering has popped up in light of the Black Friday sale that adds the action-adventure game in the bundle. The loot also includes "Ratchet & Clank" as well as "The Last of Us Remastered" for only $249.99, now available at Best Buy. The deal offers potential buyers a total of $89.98 in savings as purchasing all games separately at their normal prices will cost around $340.
