Apart from the actual unveiling of "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End," gamers await the moment they can test-drive the upcoming adventure game. Game developer Naughty Dog is preparing a multiplayer beta for the title, which is set to begin in December.

The only way a gamer will be able to participate in this event is by purchasing the "Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection" on Oct. 4 and securing a PlayStation Plus membership. The collection includes all three previous "Uncharted" games remastered for PS4.

In a trailer for this goodie released just recently, it was revealed that the multiplayer beta for the much-awaited adventure of Nathan Drake will start on Dec. 4 and will wrap up on Dec. 13.

Naughty Dog and Sony Computer Entertainment are keeping their cards close to their chest when it comes to what the multiplayer beta for the title will hold. The collaborators, however, acknowledge that players are aching to know everything about it so here is what they promised in a blog post:

"We know you are all looking forward to hearing more about what's new in multiplayer, what's new with gameplay, and what new modes and maps you can expect. We're planning a grand reveal that will answer many of your questions about Uncharted 4 multiplayer before the beta goes live this December."

"Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" will be released on March 18, 2016. Earlier this year, the game was delayed by Naughty Dog, explaining that the move was necessary to give it "every bit of the attention to detail, precise pacing, and nuanced storytelling" it deserves.

In a statement posted on the Sony Playstation blog, game directors Neil Druckmann and Bruce Straley said that the team is by no means compromising the quality of Nathan Drake's final exploit.

"Giving us a few extra months will make certain that Uncharted 4: A Thief's End not only meets the team's high standards but the high standards that gamers have come to expect from a Naughty Dog title," they stated.
