With Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) 189 done and over with, attention now shifts to August 1 when UFC 190 takes place in Rio de Janeiro.

Heading the fight cards will of course be reigning UFC bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey who will face Bethe "Pitbull" Correia right in front of her hometown crowd. Despite that privilege, Rousey is still the odds on favorite to win the match.

However, there could be a slight change in the script as Rousey seeks to punish Correia heavily for her tactless suicide tweet that drew the ire of Rousey.

Apparently the Brazilian fighter touched a very sensitive subject that ignited a fire in Rousey who lost her father when she was just eight years old to suicide. Correia did apologize for the tweet but Rousey is not buying the alleged half-hearted apology.

Rousey's last fight was a quick one (14 seconds) against Cat Zingano last February. But heading into UFC 190, Rousey has said that it will be different as she intends to inflict as much pain as she can on Correia.

The defending champion even provided her fans a glimpse of her training via Instagram, showing her lightning-quick attacks and intense training that should become a cause of concern for Correia.

After watching the videos, it is clear that Rousey is dead serious in her upcoming match and Correia is in for quite a battle. Although Rousey did say that it will not be a quick match, it will likely not go beyond one round.

Rousey has taken the fight personal and says that this is one fight where she will not be merciful. Apparently her quick finishes from previous opponents are what she singles out as being forgiving so it will be interesting to see what kind of punishment she does plan to unleash.

Ronda Rousey and Bethe Correia mix it up at UFC 190 in Rio de Janeiro this coming Aug. 1 starting at 10 p.m. EST (7 p.m. PST). The video promo for the upcoming fight may be viewed below.
