According to rumors, "Transformers 5" has been pushed to 2017 which means fans may have to wait a little bit longer to see the fifth installment. Michael Bay will no longer be around to direct and the reigns have now been passed to a new director.

This time around, it will be Jonathan Liebesman in the director's chair. He is the same one behind the recently rebooted "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" which ironically starred Megan Fox. Though TMNT wasn't a bad film, it remains to be seen if he can weave the same magic for the Transformers sequel.

Mark Wahlberg will be back, having signed up to do a "few more" Transformer movies while up in the air right now is whether two former stars would be joining Wahlberg.

This is with reference to Megan Fox and Shia LaBeouf who were in the first and second Transformer films.

Fox had her issues with Bay which many had speculated as the reason behind her departure while LaBeouf wasn't around during "Transformers 4."

Both seem to welcome the idea of a return but it may all depend on what kind of roles they would be involved in.

There are other celebrities who could possibly appear as well. That includes Dwayne "the Rock" Johnson and Bruce Willis although it remains to be seen what part they would be having if ever rumors hold true, according to Fashion & Style.

Finally, the Autobots and Decepticons could be adding new members to their fold. According to ComicBookMovie, potential additions are Ultra Magnus, Override Red Alert, Scourge and Blitzwing.

With "Transformers 5" still a long way off, there should be a whole lot more of rumors and official news coming out soon so stay tuned.
