'Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5': Tyler, the Creator and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as playable characters in new patch

Tony Hawk Pro Skater 5 Activision

A massive update just landed on "Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5" and for a patch as big as it 7.8 GB, gamers can expect loads of new features as well as gameplay tweaks to be added to the skateboarding video game.

For starters, the update came with two extra levels for players to travel around. The first one is called Underground and the second level is referred to as Wild West. Another exciting addition is a pair of additional playable characters, whom players will love to see in action for sure.

Thanks to the patch, "Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5" can now play and skate as American rapper Tyler, the Creator as well as the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, making the game extra fun. But apart from that, the update also brings along a whole host of improvements for the game.

As a start, Per-Mission Leaderboards were added in the title (as well as better Leaderboard functionality) and players were also given the newfound the ability to regain Special Meter during a single combo. The "Return to Freeskate" option is now available in the Mission, Mode or while gamers search for the other player for Co-op.

The cap on Stat points that can be earned by "Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5"players in Campaign was raised from 128 to 150. Game mechanics, grinds as well as the graphic department including lighting, texture and visuals in were also updated.

On the networking side of the game, there are new multiplayer modes available, which include "Daily Grind," "Skate Hoarding" and "Manual Mayhem." Activision also made several improvements on the user interface of the PS4/Xbox One video game.

Curiously, no bug fixes were broached although the sizeable update at least has minor fixes on different parts of the game, which should promise players of "Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5" a smooth and definitive skateboarding experience. Check out the complete patch notes here.
