Thor's human love interest, Jane, will not show up in the upcoming movie "Thor 3: Ragnarok." Natalie Portman, who plays the character, is not on the list anymore and fans will get to know the reasons behind this decision when the movie gets released late next year.

Design & Trend reported that during Empire's podcast interview with Marvel Studio's President Kevin Feige, he mentioned that Portman's character will not be seen in the third movie of "Thor," and there are many reasons behind it.

"Many of which are in the film so you will see that," Feige said.

The studio president added, "There are only a couple of scenes on Earth in this [Thor] movie; 80 to 90 percent takes place in the cosmos."

Actor Stellan Skarsgård, who plays the astrophysicist Erik Selvig in the first two films, is also not included in the cast. That is how little the crown prince of Asgard will be staying on Earth.

However, Screen Rant mentioned that there were rumors back in 2011 that the actress became upset with Marvel when "Thor: The Dark World" original director Patty Jenkins was fired by the company. She wanted out immediately, but her contract had one more movie for her.

Nothing has been mentioned if there will be any love angle in the upcoming movie, but Tessa Thompson ("Creed" and "Dear White People") and Cate Blanchet ("The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" and "Lord of the Rings" series) have been cast. The two may provide a love interest for "Thor." According to the rumor mill, a villainous role is said to be waiting for Blanchett, and she will be playing Hela, Loki's daughter, or The Enchantress. Thompson is rumored to be playing Brunnhilde the Valkyrie.

Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston and Mark Rufallo will be back to reprise their roles Thor, Loki and the Hulk. Lou Ferrigno is speculated to do the voice of the green giant. Jaimie Alexander will also be back as Lady Sif. The plot for the upcoming sequel is still highly guarded.

"Thor 3 Ragnarok" is slated to hit the big screen on Nov. 3, 2017.
