Spoilers for "The Young and the Restless" season 44's upcoming episodes suggest that there will be some shocking revelations. In light of the Adam Newman (Michael Muhney/Justin Hartley) murder mystery, a new character will be introduced to take on the role of Adam and that showrunners will find a way to somewhat "resurrect" the character.

More specifically, spoilers suggest that in "The Young and the Restless" season 44, Adam, who is allegedly alive, will return with Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) to Genoa City to have Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) and Connor back, and to expose Chloe and Victor's (Eric Braeden) conspiracy. Chloe will get a surprise visit from the "dead" Adam.

As known from the previous episodes of "The Young and the Restless," Chloe who has been hiding since she ditched Kevin (Greg Rikaart) at the altar, knocked Chelsea out, and said goodbye to Genoa City with Victor's support, will have no choice but to return to the life that she has abandoned. Adam's plan includes getting back Chloe alive to Genoa City in order to testify against Victor as he sues him for attempted murder.

Furthermore, rumors say that Adam will get his girl back. Of course, Adam will feel betrayed to learn that his brother Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Chelsea are about get married. In the midst of saying their "I do's," Adam will appear uninvited to stop the wedding ceremony. Consequently, Chelsea will be shaken to the core to find her "dead" husband alive, and such could transform the romantic ceremony into chaos and confusion.

Before these spoilers surface, many were disappointed about Hartley's exit from "The Young and the Restless" as fans were left with little hope of Adam's return. Furthermore, it's impossible for Hartley to play the character again as he is busy with "This Is Us," which has been renewed for two more seasons. Meanwhile, Muhney would also seem impossible to return and play the character due to his rumored feud with other cast members of "The Young and the Restless."

Many expected that Adam would no longer be seen in the upcoming episodes of "The Young and the Restless," so these spoilers give fans hope that they would see the character obtain the justice that he deserves. If that indeed will be the case, it only means that "The Young and the Restless" will be looking for a new cast member.

Soaphub suggests that actor Jason Gerhardt, who has appeared on "General Hospital," "Chicago Med," and "Mistresses," could play the role of Adam in the upcoming episodes of "The Young and the Restless."

"The Young and the Restless" airs on weekdays at 3 p.m. EDT on CBS.
