'The Walking Dead' season 7 episode 6 spoilers: World opens up a bit more with new community

Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Negan in "The Walking Dead" season 7 promo still. AMC

Details for the new episode of "The Walking Dead" season 7 are still vague, especially with last week's installment focused on a somewhat isolated narrative that put Maggie (Lauren Cohan) in the spotlight after recuperating from Glenn's (Steven Yeun) death.

Titled "Swear," spoilers for the upcoming installment are very scarce, only teasing about someone possibility stumbling upon a new community that will further broaden the world of the apocalypse survivors. The promo in itself is also not indicative of anything. Instead, it features snippets of Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) giving a very dramatic speech to the Saviors to pump them up and sell them again on the idea that what they are doing is the right thing. The rest of the video meanwhile is a rough cut of all the other game players doing their own respective things.

Regardless of what happens this week, the plot arc is the fruition of the teased bigger world in this season of the AMC show. It can be remembered that during the press rounds before fans found out who Negan gave the Lucille treatment to in the season premiere, talks of a macro perspective have been thrown into multiple conversations hinting that there will be new communities that will be introduced this season.

Meanwhile, Morgan recently opened up to Entertainment Weekly about the perks of playing arguably "The Walking Dead's" most charming baddie thus far. And while everyone can agree that the guy is quite ruthless, the veteran actor shared that he is having the time of his life playing him.

"He's really complicated and it's a lot of work. A lot goes into what you will see on the screen with this character," he admitted. "But I go home every night thinking, 'oh my God, that is the most fun I've ever had.' And he's horrible. Negan does some horrible things, which I don't necessarily feel great about while we're doing it. But then again, reading the graphic novel and bringing him to life, it has been incredibly challenging. And I love that challenge of bringing him to life. And I love watching the cast reaction."

"The Walking Dead" airs every Sunday, 9 p.m. ET on AMC.
