'The Vampire Diaries' season 7 episode 21 spoilers: Bonnie goes after Damon and the rest in 'Requiem for a Dream'

Damon and the gang becomes Bonnie's targets in "The Vampire Diaries" season 7 episode 21 The CW

As it turns out, Rayna did not agree to die for Bonnie without a trick up her sleeve. This evil ploy, although Rayna won't be there to see, will play out in "The Vampire Diaries" season 7, episode 21, "Requiem of a Dream."

In the final moments of the previous episode, Rayna died and transfered her hatred and blood lust to Bonnie, which means that just like the vampire hunter, she will now be going after Damon and the others the moment she wakes up.

Just like that, Bonnie becomes the worst nightmare for everyone. The promo for "The Vampire Diaries" season 7, episode 21 shows that the reborn killer won't waste a precious second to go after her friends.

First on her list is Caroline, who appears to have been stabbed by the rampaging vampire. Because of this, Stefan had no choice but to make "a rash decision that ultimately forces them to face the fallout from their relationship."

Meanwhile, evil Bonnie continues to take out every one from the gang and saves Damon for last. "The Vampire Diaries" season 7, episode 21 promo teases that Damon will be in a precarious spot during the confrontation. As Bonnie impales him, he asks for her forgiveness.

While this could easily be an apology for the wrongs Damon did to his best pal, it might also mean that Damon is asking for forgiveness for something he is about to do, presumably to stop Bonnie for good.

Also, the synopsis for the upcoming "The Vampire Diaries" season 7 episode teases that Enzo won't be able to do anything to stop his girl, and so he is forced to "painfully watch Bonnie in the fight of her life."

Matt, on the other hand, leaves it to himself to save a close friend, who can easily be one of Bonnie's victims.

"The Vampire Diaries" season 7, episode 21, "Requiem for a Dream" will air May 6 at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
