The upcoming episode of "The Vampire Diaries" season 7 will see the Heretics continue to showcase their knack for killing and torturing. This week's installment titled, "Never Let Me Go," sees Caroline on the receiving end of those lethal interests.

Stefan's lady love is now in the hands of the enemy, with Enzo at the front line of the many Heretics raring to make her suffer and plead for her life. He even has the guts to tell her he is her closest friend and in turn, he gets a pretty solid head butt.

As she is held captive by the bad guys and is threatened by one of them using an eyeliner on her in a deadly way, she will discover "a shocking detail" about Stefan's past. It remains to be seen how this can affect their relationship, especially now that Caroline told him that he makes her happy.

In this "The Vampire Diaries" season 7 episode, the consequences of killing Malcolm will be felt by everyone. When the Heretics member died in the hands of Damon, Lily vowed to get him justice. She is now eager to show her rivals what happens when they break the "truce."

"The question is: Now that Damon has acted out, what will Lily do to punish him? Will she punish him directly?" executive producer Julie Plec teased in an interview with TV Line.

"As we've seen, Enzo made a move on her behalf to punish Caroline, so I think everybody's going to have to watch their back as we head into next week," she went on to say.

As teased in the synopsis for the upcoming "The Vampire Diaries" season 7 episode, Damon will try to "make amends with his mother before things spiral further out of control" because it's the only choice he has. However, the promo teases that his brother Stefan has "taken her side" and now, a family is "at war."

"The Vampire Diaries" season 7 episode 2 "Never Let Me Go" airs Oct. 15.
