A lot of people are still waiting for the new "The Sims" game to be released. After all, the game developer EA Maxis has already released four games under the series, and while majority of it has been met with positive reviews, the last one — "The Sims 4" — had a pretty mixed reception due to some gameplay issues.

According to Game N Guide, coupled with the fact that the last "The Sims" game was released back in 2014, it seems that the game studio is long overdue to develop a new game. Fans have been requesting the release of "The Sims 5" for quite a while now, but despite this, it is possible that the series might be ditched since rumor has it that the fifth game is facing some big issues.

Some point out that the rumors saying that "The Sims 5" is cancelled are just plain ridiculous since the game is just delayed and will certainly be released in the future.

Other sources say that "The Sims 4" is the last game of the series, but whichever is the truth, nothing is verified since EA Maxis has never given their official statement as to whether or not the game is cancelled.

However, with the less-than-stellar performance of "The Sims 4," some reports are even saying that the game is a big failure in the market and that the chances of the next "The Sims" game are proving to be very slim.

Meanwhile, Movie News Guide reports that the latest expansion for "The Sims 4" game — the "City Living" downloadable content (DLC) —offers a city-themed world which might be able to improve the game's reputation. But the preparatory patch update causing some freezes to the game is not helping it's current standing with gamers at all.

Regardless, in order to at least alleviate the freezing problem, players are advised to check the Origin settings in order to select the Go Offline mode.

If you look at the Church of England’s communications all that it ever seems to highlight is the good works that Christians do to improve the temporal well-being of their neighbours. It is right to highlight these things, but they are not the primary reason for the Church’s existence.
