'The Sims 4' DLC news: Lot traits to be added to base game even without 'City Living' DLC

A lot of players with "The Sims 4" game are waiting for the new features to be added for the upcoming expansion pack "City Living." However, it seems that the life simulation game is going to include some new lot traits in a future game update before the downloadable content (DLC) is released.

According to Yibada, the new expansion pack will include apartment traits. The information was revealed by a member of "The Sims" development team who goes by the handle SimGuruMegs at the fansite Sims Community. The future patch for the base game will integrate some of the lot traits that will be included in the "City Living" DLC, as teased by its trailer.

The development team member also said that the patch will allow players to use the various lot traits even without the inclusion of the upcoming expansion pack. She even went so far as to say that they are considering the prospect of adding more lot traits should the game have more expansion packs in the future.

Meanwhile, Game N Guide reports that the DLC will allow the players to set a maximum of three lot traits per lot. However, some of the cheaper apartments will have some of their traits locked in. For example, the cheaper apartments can be either cursed or filthy, and it is not editable.

Furthermore, players also have the ability to assign specific families to become their neighbors, and an apartment building can accommodate several families together in such a way that it is similar to the original game's Sim neighbors creation feature.

Neighbors can also visit the player's unit. Some of them may even drop by whenever something significant happens, such as when they smell something good cooking in your own sim's unit.

"The Sims 4: City Living" DLC expansion pack will be available for release on Nov.3 for the PC and Ma.
