Sheldon and Amy CBS

"The Big Bang Theory" is set to return next week after taking a break from airing the episodes. The episode showing on Thursday, Dec. 10 titled "Earworm Reverberation," will feature Sheldon (Jim Parsons) and Amy (Mayim Bialik) getting back together.

According to a spoiler report for the show, Sheldon finds himself dealing with a song that's stuck in his head. Eventually, he realizes that the song speaks about him and his ex, so he goes after Amy in her apartment.

Amy is having a date with Dave (Stephen Merchant), when Sheldon shows up. The two ex-lovers profess their love for each other, staring into each others' eyes before Dave yells at Sheldon to start kissing Amy.

The two start kissing each other without stopping that Dave himself exits from the apartment to leave them alone.

Amy and Sheldon's kiss goes on and this could be continued to the next episode airing on Dec. 17. According to an earlier report from Entertainment Online, Sheldon will finally lose his virginity in the upcoming episode.

Sheldon and Amy are finally going to make love this season. Parsons told the news outlet that he was stunned upon discovering that the storyline is headed into that direction. "I was very surprised," the 42-year-old actor revealed in the interview with Entertainment Online. "But then I read it, and it seemed absolutely the right time."

On the other hand, Bialik admitted that she was "kind of nervous" when she learned of the plot, highlighting that she worried about the scene "going to feel voyeuristic or kind of icky." But eventually, the actress said it was "very tender" and "very sweet."

It seems that "Shamy" fans are finally going to see a new side to the couple's relationship. Watch out for Sheldon and Amy making up and making out in "The Big Bang Theory" on Thursday, Dec. 17, at 8 p.m. EST on CBS.
