'The Bachelorette' season 11 spoilers, episode recap: The men battle in a boxing ring

This week on "The Bachelorette," Laila Ali and Amy Schumer stop by to help Kaitlyn find love, a contestant is sent to the hospital after a boxing match, and one man is sent home.

The show kicks off with a group date consisting of Justin, Daniel, Ben H., Ben Z., Jared, Corey, Tanner, and Kupah. The men arrive at a boxing gym and find Laila Ali waiting for them. Laila tells them that they have to fight for Kaitlyn's heart, and each one of them is sent to work with a trainer for a few minutes before they face off with someone in the ring. The main event pits Jared against Ben Z., and the former ends up getting clobbered right away, and he is sent to the hospital for observation. Meanwhile, Kupah ignores Kaitlyn completely as he takes advantage of the free boxing lesson. Later, Ben Z. gets the group date rose.

For her solo date, Kaitlyn takes Clint for an underwater photo shoot, and she has her first kiss underwater.

On the second group date, the bachelorette says she wants someone to stand up for her. She invites Jonathan, JJ, Chris, Ian, Joe, and Tony to go with her to a comedy bar. Amy Schumer arrives and helps the men prepare for their sets. Amy works with JJ, and though he appears to be quite arrogant during the date, she calls him a sweetheart who is "just missing charisma and humility and a sense of humor." At the end of the night, JJ gets the Date Rose.

At the Rose Ceremony, JJ brags about being the frontrunner, and Ian finally gets some time with Kaitlyn and tells her that he went to Princeton and that he almost got hit by a car and wasn't expected to walk again. Meanwhile, Kupah complains to the camera that he didn't want to be there as "the minority guy that fills a quota." He confronts Kaitlyn and tells her that he hasn't felt a connection with her yet, but Kaitlyn says she did feel a connection with him. She sends him back to the house to give her time to think, and he complains loudly to the other men about what happened.

At this, Kaitlyn, calls him back and eventually lets him go, telling him, "I completely lost my connection with you."

Next week, six men will go on a group date with Kaitlyn and will try their hand at sumo wrestling. One of them, who claims to be anti-violence, will not be participating in the activity. Some of the guys will also face their fears as they go on a "Fear Factor" style date.

"The Bachelorette" airs Mondays at 8 p.m. on ABC.
