As revealed in the synopsis for episode 7 of "The Americans" season 5, titled "The Committee on human Rights," Paige (Holly Taylor) will fall deeper into her parents' world. She has always believed that her parents are no ordinary suburban couple. And in the episode to come, it seems like Philip (Matthew Rhys) and Elizabeth's (Keri Russell) spywork is also taking a toll on their daughter.

As revealed in the previous episode, titled "Crossbreed," both spies, along with Gabriel (Frank Langella), had trouble sorting out their emotions. Following their lab director's death, the trio faced the various stages of grief, but they did their best to restrain their emotions.

Elsewhere in episode 7, Matthew Beeman's (Danny Flaherty) conflicts will reach its critical point, while Philp and Elizabeth's traps take a rather unexpected turn. Meanwhile, Stan Beeman (Noah Emmerich) will be facing the consequences of his past actions.

"The Americans" debuted in January of 2013. For the uninitiated, the series follows the lives of Soviet intelligence agents, Philip and Elizabeth Jennings, who are pretending to be a regular suburban couple, to extract and relay information on the American government. The couple faces even more challenges when FBI agent Stan Beeman rolls in the neighborhood. The character is part of a task force dedicated to fighting foreign spies

FX's period drama was created by former CIA agent Joe Weisberg.

"The Americans" season 5 episode 7, titled "The Committee on Human Rights," airs on Tuesday, April 18, at 10 p.m. EDT on FX.
