'Tekken 7' release date PS4: title will release with PC and Xbox One versions; product placeholder seen online

'Tekken 7: Fated Retribution' Bandai Namco

It has been rumored for a while that the upcoming "Tekken 7: Fated Retribution" will not be an exclusive game to Sony's video game console. Fans have kept their fingers cross that, hopefully, the day will come when every fan on every platform will have a great fighting day.

It seems that the gaming gods are listening to their request as an insider has said that the game will be available for the Xbox One. Furthermore, a product placeholder was uncovered on an online store.

WCCFTech earlier reported that a representative of Bandai Namco, the game developer and publisher, mentioned at the MCM ComicCon in London that the game will not be a PlayStation 4 exclusive anymore. A Twitter user named J.Va related the information through a post, which said, "Namco rep just said Xbone and PC versions of Tekken 7 are also happening. @TronKnotts @destructoid."

"Tekken 7: Fated Retribution" will be containing updates and game characters from the previous version of the game, as well as from the "Street Fighter" franchise. Several reports mentioned that Nina Williams and Akuma will be joining in.

Additionally, fans were able to uncover a product placeholder for the upcoming game for the Xbox One on EB Games' website. The game is ready for pre-order, for US$129.99, but it also specifically stated that it is a placeholder price. No specific release date was mentioned. This brings some light to the unconfirmed report that the game will be available on other platforms aside from the PlayStation 4.

The upcoming game is reported to be bringing in a total of 29 playable characters. Twenty will be included upon release and the rest will follow through downloadable content.

The roster includes Jin, Kazuya, Heihachi, Hwoarang, Steve Fox, Asuka, Lili, Xiaoyu, Marshall Law, Paul Phoenix, King, Yoshimitsu, Bryan Fury, Feng Wei, Dragunov, Leo, Lars, Alisa, Nina Williams, Claudio Serafino, Katarina Alves, Lucky Chloe, Josie Rizal, Jack-7, Gigas, Shaheen, Akuma and Kazumi Mishima.

Fans are expecting additional information at the upcoming Electronic Entertainment Expo 2016, happening on June 14 to 16.
