In the next episode of "Supernatural" season 12, Dean (Jensen Ackles) and company will continue their attempt to rescue Sam (Jared Padalecki), and it seems the team has already made progress in the search.

In episode 2 titled "Mamma Mia," Dean, Castiel (Misha Collins), Crowley (Mark Sheppard), and Mary (Samantha Smith) will finally locate where the British Men of Letters have been hiding and torturing Sam.

However, the stills from "Supernatural" season 12 episode 2 suggest that even Sam will get himself in danger and will be held hostage by Lady Toni Bevell (Elizabeth Blackmore).

This is where Mary springs into action. Stills from the installment show her holding her sons' captor at gunpoint, which proves that she has not lost her flair one bit.

In fact, the images suggest that Mary will be the star "Supernatural" season 12, episode 2 as she will put on display her hunting skills in this installment. She is going to fight hard for the safety of her boys.

This is exactly why Dean has doubts bringing her. He already lost her once and he does not intend to lose her again now that she is back in their lives again.

The "Supernatural" season 12 episode 2 synopsis teases that Dean gets "uncomfortable" bringing her and after what she will do in this installment. He might insist on her mother not going back to the field and putting her life on the line.

Meanwhile, "Supernatural" season 12 episode 2 also marks the arrival of Rick Springfield. The rock star will play the role of Vince Vicente, who happens to be Lucifer's new vessel.

Crowley gets a tip from Rowena (Ruth Connell), whom Lucifer walks around with, thus ending his search for the fallen angel. It will be exciting to see how things turn out between the two.

"Supernatural" season 12 episode 2, "Mamma Mia," airs on Thursday, Oct. 20, at 9 p.m. ET on The CW.
